Malcrab alien species concept

This is another alien race, this time not a sentient one.

They could be defined as insectoid in form, but with mammal characteristics in behavior.

They have developed sort of a symbiotic relationship with another native species on the planet named by humans as "Drunken Bees".

I will do a deviation about them as well, so you will see who they are (as I imagine them to be), just like I will do for the Proclobytes.

They live on a planet called Krumine in second orbit around the star 47 Ophiuchi. The planet is quite close to the inner edge of this particular star system's 'Goldilocks Zone", and therefore very, very hot.

The planet is desert-like, with several regions around the equator where active volcanoes rage.

There are very few life forms that managed to survive and adapt to these conditions of the planet on both polar caps. The group of life forms on each polar cap is different due to separate evolutionary paths.

The three types of life forms mentioned in this deviation are situated on the Northern Pole of the planet. I will do deviations for the planet's South Pole biology too.

EDIT:

Another food source of the Malcrabs are plant-like life forms that have disk-shaped organs that collect sunlight from the star. Humans speculate that the appearance of appendages like the talons on their extremities is because of the constant growth of the plants in size. They are becoming more difficult to reach.
